How are the balloons distributed?
The Balloons for Luv station is centrally located near the children's wards and stocked with colorful mylar balloons, helium and other supplies so that doctors, nurses and other caregivers can freely deliver the cheerful mylar balloons to children who are in need of an uplifting reminder of hope and encouragement. Caregivers may choose from Balloons for Luv messages such as "You Did It" or "Happy Birthday" or "You're number 1!" and more.
How much of Balloons for Luv donations goes to the children?
100 percent goes to supporting Balloons for Luv materials and supplies. All work is done on a volunteer basis.
Do the children have to meet any criteria or age range to receive a Balloons for Luv balloons?
No, any child recommended by a doctor or nurse, regardless of their age is eligible to receive free balloons.
Can a parent request a balloon?
Yes, if Balloons for Luv is providing a station at the specific children's hospital, parents and friends can request a balloon to be deliver to the child's bedside by simply emailing info@balloonsforluv.org.
Is there a fee for Balloons for Luv balloons?
No, all balloons are free of charge.
